PacMotor LLC is a small, fast-growing consumer electronics company based in Fort Myers. We design and ship premium GPS-enabled trolling motors for kayakers, paddle boarders, and canoers. Our customers love the product, but they also have questions, and we need someone who can take great care of them. We're hiring a part-time Customer Service & Operations Assistant to be the friendly first voice of PacMotor. You'd work mainly alone sometimes with the founder out of our warehouse at 2700 Evans Ave, and you'll have your own private office to take phone calls in. What you'd do (about 60% customer service, 40% operations): Answer customer emails throughout the day order status, product questions, shipping updates, and friendly reassurance for buyers who are excited (or nervous) about spending $1,000+ on a new piece of gear Take customer phone calls, be friendly and helpful, listen to questions, and help people feel confident in their purchase Be a calm, knowledgeable resource most of our customers are retirees who want a real human to talk to about their order; your job is to make them feel heard and taken care of Pull and pack 2–5 orders per day (about 30–45 minutes of light shipping work) Pass outgoing packages to UPS/FedEx pickups daily and accept incoming shipments from our manufacturer Order tracking, make sure orders ship same-day, and follow up on any delays Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Consistent, predictable hours (about 27.5/week). No nights or weekends. Pay $22/hour to start, with raises as the role grows. Paid weekly via direct deposit (W-2). No commission, no quotas just steady hourly pay for taking great care of our customers. You'd be a great fit if you: Write clear, friendly emails (this is the #1 skill we need) Are comfortable on the phone, calm, patient, and great with customers of all ages, especially those who may not be tech natives and want a real human voice Have any customer service, retail, hospitality, medical office, or hotel front desk experience Pay attention to small details (we ship a $1,200+ product, quality matters) Can lift up to 35 lbs occasionally Are reliable, on time, and good at managing your own time Bonus if you have any experience with: Shopify, Gmail, e-commerce customer service, boating, or outdoor products. No specialized experience needed. If you write well, are friendly on the phone, and like the idea of being part of a small, growing brand, we'll train you on everything else. Training takes a few hours up front and continues over the first couple of weeks, you'll have full support from the founder as you learn the product.
