Job Summary The University of North Georgia's Elementary and Special Education Department is seeking applications for a part-time faculty member to teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses. Responsibilities This position will teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses in elementary and special education. This position may also teach graduate level courses in general education, autism, dyslexia, computer science education, English for Speakers of Other Languages, gifted and reading. At the undergraduate level, successful applicants will support the goals of a program and foster pre-service elementary teachers' confidence and efficacy in teaching elementary education in early childhood and special education settings. Required Qualifications Master's degree and/or 18 hours of upper-level coursework in a related field for teaching at the undergraduate level is required. Doctorate degree required for teaching at the graduate level. Evidence of effective and innovative teaching practices. Experience using and modeling technology in educational settings and online teaching. Demonstrated ability to educate and work with a variety of populations. Availability to teach in person classes is a plus. Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential. Work collaboratively with full-time faculty members.
