Department Information The Department of Economics and Finance is part of the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB) and offers a major in finance and minors in economics and FinTech. The Department resides in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB), an AACSB-accredited college of business that offers programs on five campuses in the North Georgia region. The department has a growing enrollment and a collaborative, energetic faculty engaged in quality research and with a strong focus on high-quality teaching and student engagement. Job Summary The Department of Economics and Finance at the University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a part-time faculty position in finance in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB). Responsibilities The most likely teaching schedule for this position will be sections of Principles of Finance (FINC 3440) or Financial Institutions (FINC 4430) on the Gainesville campus. Teaching other courses and/or on other campuses may be possible. Use of innovative teaching and learning techniques to provide high-quality learning experiences for our students is expected. Required Qualifications A master's degree in finance or a closely related field with at least 18 credit hours of graduate-level coursework in finance or a commensurate level of professional experience in the finance industry. A successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to engage students in the learning environment. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. or DBA in finance or a closely related field or ABD in finance program.
