The Position As a Dog Groomer at Paws and Claws Total Dog, you will deliver professional, compassionate grooming services that leave every pup looking and feeling their best. You will work closely with pet parents to understand their preferences, create a calm and positive experience for every dog, and uphold the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. This role blends artistry, care, and communication to help each guest shine while building trusted relationships with our clients and team. Specific Responsibilities & Duties Provide full-service grooming, including bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning, and breed-specific styling Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of every dog in your care Consult with pet parents to understand grooming requests, coat conditions, and special needs Maintain grooming tools, equipment, and workstations to our cleanliness and safety standards Collaborate with resort teammates to ensure seamless guest experiences across departments Keep accurate grooming notes and communicate updates with their team and clients Deliver excellent customer service that reflects our mission and values Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture focused on care, growth, and hospitality Qualifications & experience 1+ year of professional grooming experience (or completion of a certified grooming program) Strong knowledge of dog breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques Calm, patient demeanor and genuine love for dogs of all sizes and temperaments Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to lift and handle dogs up to 50 Ibs safely Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and ongoing professional development Pay: $22.00 - $26.49 per hour Benefits 401(k) Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid training Work Location: In person
