Description Part-Time, Hourly Nutritionist Consultant District 4 WIC Program 301 Main Street Lagrange, GA 30240 Time-Limited: May 2026 - September 2026 Minimum of 24 hours per week - up to 29 hours per week Under limited supervision, establishes operating procedures, practices and guidelines and communicates them with program or department personnel. Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project. Monitors and controls schedules and project budgets. Communicates with managerial staff as needed. Plans and manages business development and project management activities for a program or department that have a significant impact to the agency. Job Responsibilities Acts as a Georgia Gateway and Nutrition training liaison between the local level WIC Management and WIC Training and Development Specialist Coordinates all local level mandatory Georgia Gateway operations specific training sessions/workshops Assists local level Director with development and implementation of mandatory nutrition and operations Quality Improvement Plans related to WIC audit findings and required training needs Performs as District 4 Lead trainer support for IES-GA Gateway Assists Training and development Specialist with development and implementation of operations training materials for district staff under federal, state and district procedural guidelines Participates in clinic operations and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) involving systems and processes that impact the delivery of Georgia WIC services Works with Regional Managers to coordinate all new hire Georgia Gateway trainings for WIC clerical employees Completes special district and/or state WIC projects as assigned Minimum Qualifications Nutritionist 1 Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods, and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university AND verification statement of completion of a didactic program accredited by The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Nutritionist 2 Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management or a closely related field from an accredited college or university, verification statement of completion of a didactic program accredited by The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics AND Two years at the lower-level Dietitian/Nutritionist 1 (HCP020) or equivalent position (i.e. Must have two years of experience as a nutritionist providing education to groups and individuals); OR Two years of experience at the lower-level Dietitian/nutritionist 1 (HCP020) or position equivalent. Nutritionist 3 - (D4 WIC requires a Nutritionist 3 to be a Registered & Licensed Dietitian) Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management or a closely related field from an accredited college or university, verification statement of completion of a didactic program accredited by The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics AND Three years of job-related experience providing nutrition care to groups and individuals; OR Two years of experience at the lower-level Dietitian/Nutritionist 2 (HCP021) or position equivalent. NOTE: According to Georgia Public Health WIC Program Guidelines, candidates without a verification statement, who can comply with the following requirements, may be eligible for consideration in this position: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a nutrition field from an ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD), but did not earn a verification statement. A letter from the DPD program director stating the individual successfully completed the program but did not earn a verification statement can serve as coursework verification. Bilingual-Spanish/English Language preferred - $1.00 added to hourly rate for those who qualify* Offer will be based on level of experience and/or education and licensure.
