Overview We are seeking a warm, attentive, and proactive Part-Time Temporary Infant Nanny to provide loving and reliable care for a sweet 5.5-week-old baby girl in Seattle. This is a wonderful short-term opportunity for a caregiver who genuinely enjoys the infant stage and feels confident supporting early development, routines, and engagement throughout the day. The ideal candidate will be experienced with young infants, nurturing, calm, and confident taking initiative while working in a home where a parent may occasionally be present. This role offers the chance to support a curious and alert infant through developmental play, tummy time, walks, music, and interactive care in a supportive and welcoming family environment. Compensation & Schedule Start Date: ASAP End Date: End of August Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM (potentially until 1:30 PM depending on the day) Additional Hours: Potential for Monday morning hours in the future Pay: $28–$30/hour Responsibilities Provide attentive and nurturing care for a 5.5-week-old infant, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and maintaining daily routines. Engage the baby in age-appropriate developmental activities such as tummy time, reading black-and-white books, listening to music, and gentle interactive play. Take the baby on daily walks using the stroller bassinet or baby carrier to encourage fresh air and sensory exploration. Support healthy infant development through consistent engagement, responsive caregiving, and encouraging curiosity throughout the day. Assist with light infant-related household tasks including bottle washing and infant laundry. Maintain open communication with parents regarding routines, naps, feedings, and developmental observations. Comfortably work in a home environment where Mom may occasionally be present while handling errands, appointments, or personal tasks. Requirements 2+ years of infant nannying, daycare, babysitting, or related childcare experience preferred. Confident caring for young infants and knowledgeable about infant routines, developmental milestones, and safe sleep practices. Warm, calm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about infant care and early childhood development. A self-starter who can confidently take initiative and remain engaged throughout the shift. Comfortable working collaboratively with parents and adapting to the family’s needs and routines. Reliable, punctual, and available to start ASAP through the end of August. Comfortable around dogs; the family has a laid-back 11-year-old dog that requires no care.
