Part-time IV Nurse

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-time IV Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide expert intravenous (IV) therapy and patient care across various clinical settings, ensuring safe and effective treatment delivery. Passion for educating is important. Duties Administer IV infusions, including medications, fluids, and nutrients, following established protocols and aseptic techniques Assess patient condition through vital signs, physical examinations, and comprehensive evaluations to determine appropriate IV therapy plans Monitor patients during infusion procedures for adverse reactions or complications, responding swiftly to ensure safety Maintain accurate medical documentation of treatments administered, patient responses, and any incidents in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Educate patients on IV therapy procedures, post-treatment care, and medication management to promote understanding and compliance Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacists, and other nurses to coordinate care plans in diverse settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities Ensure strict adherence to infection control standards and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and safety Skills Proven experience with IV insertion, venipuncture, catheter care, and aseptic technique in various clinical environments Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation relevant to IV therapy Ability to perform patient assessments effectively and respond promptly to acute pain or adverse reactions during infusion treatments Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs Knowledge of infection control practices, medication administration protocols, and emergency response procedures such as basic life support (BLS) Passion to educate Join us if you’re passionate about delivering compassionate patient care through expert IV therapy!
