Job Description
We are a small cafe and ice cream shop hiring a Part-Time Kitchen Production Assistant for 8-10 hours per week to support our dessert and beverage production.This is a behind-the-scenes role focused on prep, organization, and consistency -- perfect for someone who enjoys calm, focused kitchen work.This position is best suited for someone who:Cares about creating quality products Triple checks their work, is detail oriented, and rarely makes mistakes Enjoys organized, methodical work and repetitive, focused tasks Takes pride in keeping spaces clean, organized, and running smoothly Prefers working quietly and independently in a behind-the-scenes environment Duties Following written recipes exactly Setting up all ingredients and tools for production in advance (measured, organized, ready to go) Prepping large batches of produce for sauces, desserts, etc.Preparing toppings and mix-ins like crumbles, candies, cookies, etc.Making simple syrups, hot fudge, fruit sauces, curds, etc.Measuring and portioning ingredients for menu items Labeling, dating, and organizing food containers Maintaining a clean, organized prep station Keeping fridges and dry storage organized Dishwashing and end-of-shift kitchen clean-up You must be 18older to apply.No experience required, just willingness to learn.We look forward to hearing from you! Job Type:Part-time Pay:$18.00 per hour Application Question(s):Are you located within 10 minutes driving distance of Montavilla 97215? SHIFT 1:This role requires availability for TWO set weekly shifts.Are you consistently available for (2) 4-5 hour shifts on your choice of (2) days between Sunday-Tuesday? The shift hours are flexible EX:you may wish to do 10-2 PM on Sunday and 4-9 PM on Monday.Exact days/times will be confirmed at hire with the goal of having a consistent schedule.Do you have an Oregon Food Handler Card?
