Position Overview Sylvan Learning of Woburn is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Math Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching or tutoring middle school and/or high school math students and a passion for helping students succeed. At Sylvan, we focus on teaching — not lesson planning or administrative work. Our instructors are trained on the Sylvan curriculum and provided with the tools and support needed to deliver high-quality instruction in a low-stress, rewarding environment. What You’ll Do Teach students in a personalized small-group setting (maximum 3:1 student-to-teacher ratio) Provide engaging instruction in middle school and high school math Motivate students and build academic confidence Track student progress using Sylvan programs and materials Create a positive and encouraging learning environment Schedule Saturday availability is required. Additional weekday hours may be available based on enrollment and instructor availability. Current instructional hours include Tuesday: 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM Wednesday: 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM Thursday: 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM Saturday: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM Qualifications Previous math tutoring or teaching experience preferred Strong knowledge of middle school and/or high school math Ability to engage and motivate students Reliable, professional, and patient Teaching certification is not required Why Join Sylvan?
