OverviewJoin our Internal Medicine healthcare team as a Part Time Medical Biller, where your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes.The role supports the financial health of our practice while providing exceptional service to our patients.As a key member of our billing department, you will be empowered to streamline claims, improve collections, and uphold the highest standards of medical coding accuracy.Responsibilities Review and interpret medical records to assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) Prepare and submit clean claims using EMR and EHR systems, ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines and coding standards Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies Verify patient insurance information and update medical records accordingly Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation for accurate billing and coding Stay current with changes in medical terminology, coding updates, and insurance regulations to optimize revenue cycle management Experience Prior experience in medical billing or medical office administration is highly preferred Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT coding.Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems, especially Medent, used for billing and record management Proven ability to handle medical records with confidentiality and accuracy Experience in medical collection efforts and resolving claim discrepancies Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in processing complex billing information Join us to contribute your expertise in a fast-paced environment that values precision, efficiency, and continuous learning.Together, we'll ensure our patients receive seamless billing services while supporting the financial integrity of our healthcare practice!
