We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our team during our busy season to help ensure our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Position Overview We're seeking a Part-Time Order Fulfillment Specialist to work as an independent contractor at our home office location. You'll be responsible for accurately packing and preparing customer orders for shipment. This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking for flexible, seasonal work in a small business environment. Key Responsibilities Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders based on daily packing lists Apply shipping labels and ensure proper documentation for each package Maintain inventory organization in the fulfillment area Alert management of low stock levels Perform quality checks to ensure correct products and quantities are packed Package products carefully to prevent damage during shipping Process orders within specified timeframes to meet shipping deadlines Maintain a clean, organized workspace Track completed orders and update order management system Handle beauty and personal care products with appropriate care Assist with inventory receiving and organization as needed Follow all workplace safety and cleanliness protocols Requirements Must pass a background check Comfortable working in a home office environment Reliable transportation to work location Ability to lift and move packages up to 25 pounds repeatedly Strong attention to detail and accuracy Basic computer skills and comfort with online order management systems Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent organizational skills Professional demeanor and respect for home office setting Commitment to maintaining product and business confidentiality Punctual and reliable attendance Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in order fulfillment, warehouse, or shipping/receiving Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, etc.) Experience handling beauty or personal care products Knowledge of shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) and their requirements Basic inventory management experience Experience working in small business or home-based business settings What We Offer Hourly rate: $15-20/hour based on experience Flexible scheduling within business needs Friendly, small business work environment Training on all systems and processes Potential for role extension based on business needs and performance Opportunity to learn about e-commerce and beauty industry operations Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods (2-3 hours at a time) Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting Manual dexterity for handling small items and labels Visual acuity to read packing lists and labels accurately Ability to work in a home office environment with occasional distractions Work Environment This position operates from our home office location.
