Duties Assist with daily animal husbandry tasks (mainly equine), including feeding, watering, grooming, turn-out, and monitoring livestock health Operate farm machinery such as tractors, skid-steer, and ATV's safely and efficiently Perform equipment repair and maintenance using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge Conduct heavy lifting and physical labor to move supplies, hay, feed bags, fencing materials, or livestock as needed Assist with other team members during farm projects or animal handling activities Maintain cleanliness and organization of farm equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency Qualifications Prior experience on a farm or ranch is preferred but not required Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery, equipment repair, welding, and general maintenance Hands-on experience with animal husbandry including caring for horses (equine experience), cattle, or other livestock Ability to operate heavy equipment such as skid-steer and other power tools safely (snowplowing is a plus) Familiarity with farming practices preferred Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of animal behavior and needs Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to feed rations or equipment maintenance Physical ability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing outdoor labor in various weather conditions This energetic position invites passionate individuals eager to learn about ranching while contributing their skills in a lively ranch environment.
