In this energetic role, you'll engage with customers, assist with product displays, and ensure the store runs smoothly.Your enthusiasm and customer-focused mindset will help create a welcoming environment where shoppers feel valued and inspired.This position offers flexible hours perfect for those looking to develop retail skills while balancing other commitments.Roles & Responsibilities: Greeting customers with a welcoming & positive disposition Responding to customer enquiries and providing excellent customer service Maintain a thorough knowledge of current products and their location in the retail store & in the back storage area Operating computer cash register & accepting various forms of payment, applying coupons & discounts appropriately, and bagging items Rotating and stocking product Packaging, weighing, sealing, and labeling product correctly Preparing custom orders as requested behind the Candy Counter Ensuring that all samples remain full & fresh Grinding, packaging, and brewing coffee Taking inventory Some light cleaning duties (disinfecting work stations, wiping up spills, cleaning the glass case, etc.) Job Essentials: Visual & cognitive capacity to operate a computer cash register and count accurately Fine motor skills to arrange chocolates gently so as to not damage the product and utilize the appropriate switches/buttons on registers, coffee makers, and scales Interpersonal verbal communication skills to articulate information to customers/coworkers, thus creating a welcoming environment through positive interactions with others Memory retention to recall and apply current information such as sales items, promotions, product info, etc. Accuracy in filling customer orders Ability to lift up to 30lbs Ability to communicate proficiently in the English language Ability to be on one's feet for up to nine hours per day Ability to bend/kneel/stoop to retrieve or stock product Steadiness & agility to utilize a ladder to retrieve and stock product Emotional maturity and resilience to respond tactfully to various types of customers and situations Availability to work some weekend & evening hours on a rotating retail schedule Remote work is not possible for this role.Retail Associates must be able to be physically present at work in order to perform their job duties.Benefits:Employee discount Flexible schedule Work Location:In person.
