Registered Nurse:VA Care Plans (Flexible Hours) Job Description:Position Summary We are hiring a PRN and Part Time Registered Nurse to provide oversight and support for our Veteran clients across Spearman-Plainview.This role includes completing intake assessments, creating VA compliant care plans, submitting requests for increased hours as needed, training caregivers, and performing ongoing client check ins.Your clinical expertise will ensure that Veterans receive safe, compassionate, and effective care while supporting our team in delivering consistent, high quality service.Company Overview Happy to Help Caregiving provides high quality, non medical in home support that helps Veterans and older adults remain independent and comfortable in their homes.We are proud to serve the Panhandle of Texas and deeply value the caregivers who make our mission possible.Key Responsibilities Client Intakes and Care Planning Complete comprehensive in home nursing assessments for new Veteran clients.Create individualized plans of care using agency templates.Document visit frequency, care goals, interventions, and risk prevention strategies.Ongoing Client Support Perform monthly in home visits with assigned clients.Renew care plans every six to twelve months.Request additional service hours when a client's condition changes or declines.Caregiver Training Provide practical, hands on training for caregivers, including safe transfers, shower assistance, and Hoyer lift use.Collaboration and Compliance Work closely with the Executive Director and caregiving team to ensure all services meet VA requirements.Maintain thorough and secure documentation in the agency's electronic records system.Requirements Active, unencumbered RN license in Texas or an approved compact state.Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.Reliable transportation to travel to client homes.Experience with Veterans or older adults is preferred.Schedule and Hours Flexible, very part time position based on client needs.Daytime availability is required for in home visits.No evenings or weekends.Travel within the Panhandle.A gas bonus is provided when applicable.Job Types:Part time, travel nursing Work Location:In the field, visiting clients in their homes Job Types:Part-time, Travel nursing Work Location:On the road Pay:$45.00 - $50.00 per hour Work Location:On the road.
