Part-time sales associate — tile & stone

We are a growing tile and stone retailer looking for an enthusiastic, well-presented individual to join our team. While relevant industry experience is appreciated, it is not required — we're committed to training the right person from the ground up. This is a hands-on role where you'll learn the business inside and out, build meaningful relationships with clients, and contribute directly to the shop's success. What you'll do Welcome and assist clients, guiding them through product selections Build and maintain strong customer relationships from initial inquiry through purchase Learn our full product catalog — tile, stone, and related materials — and become a knowledgeable resource for clients Support day-to-day sales activities, including quoting, follow-up, and closing Coordinate with the warehouse on product availability, orders, and logistics Help maintain showroom presentation — displays, samples, and overall cleanliness Assist with receiving, organizing, and lifting product as needed Support general showroom operations as the business grows Who we're looking for Professional, well-presented, and personable — you represent our brand in every interaction Self-motivated and eager to learn; takes initiative without being asked Comfortable in a client-facing environment with strong communication skills Reliable, punctual, and a genuine team player Able to perform occasional physical tasks, including lifting product samples and materials Background in sales, retail, design, or construction is a plus — but not required What we offer $23/hour starting wage with clear path to wage increases based on performance Bonus opportunities tied to sales performance Real potential to grow into a full-time position Hands-on training in a specialized, design-forward industry A collaborative, supportive team environment where your contributions are recognized Exposure to residential and commercial design projects and trade clientele This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in sales, interior design, or the building materials industry.
