JOB General Statement of DutiesOversees the client utilization of facilities at the Havelock Tourist & Event Center. Opens and operates the Visitor Center on Saturday. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Duties and ResponsibilitiesOpens and secures facilities before and after events. Greets guests/visitorsAssists in the preparation of facilities for events and after events removing event items from facility rooms and keeping area cleanResolves problems or complaints from lessee or the public in accordance with established policies and proceduresOversees the client utilization of the facility; makes or arranges for last-minute adjustments in room or equipment set-up at the request of the lesseeComplies with all safety and food service laws and regulationsFacilitates operations and responds to emergencies or problems, ensuring all events are implemented and controlled according to planCleans windows and glass doors; vacuums carpets; maintains restroom facilities; removes trash from buildingMaintains communication with approved caterer during event and inspects kitchen and other areas during caterer checkout processSet-up and operation of audio and visual equipmentOther duties as assigned SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Physical RequirementsThis is medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work can require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for depth perception, color perception, peripheral vision, preparing and analyzing written information, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, use of measuring devices, operation of (kitchen) machines, operation of various types of equipment, and observing general surroundings and activities.
