Munholland Youth Ministry Director Position: Part time Munholland's mission is to help people Connect, Grow, Serve, and Lead in the name of Jesus Christ. We are a committed to reaching people for Christ and making disciples who have a heart for serving the world. We operate out of a traditional Methodist theology and love for our neighbors. The Youth Director has the exciting job of leading youth to connect with God, grow together, serve the world, and lead people to the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ. The Director’s responsibility is to build and sustain a ministry that attracts and disciples youth. The Director is tasked to recruit, equip, and coordinate a volunteer team to minister to youth and their families through Sunday School, small groups, retreats, and missions. The ideal candidate is a committed believer and follower of Jesus, has private or public middle or high school teaching experience, and a bachelors degree. Qualifications: Passionate about children knowing and growing in Christ. Committed Christian resolved to live and model a godly lifestyle. Passionate about children knowing and growing in Christ. Flexible, dedicated, dependable, energetic, and self-motivated. Able to communicate well with children, families, volunteers, and staff. Strong Biblical knowledge. Able to draw children and their families into relationship with Jesus and Munholland. Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree Minimum of 2 years of experience in Youth Ministry Private or public school teaching experience is a plus Essential Duties and Responsibilities Build a volunteer team to effectively minister to youth and their parents. Create a culture of call and decision to follow Jesus. Lead engaging discipleship opportunities on Sundays so youth and their families are grounded in scripture and learn how to live the faith. Coordinate Sunday ministries to the youth including sunday school and worship participation. Create another gathering sometime during the week: Sunday afternoon, Wed. afternoon, or one morning before school. Create service opportunities within and beyond the walls of Munholland on a monthly basis so youth develop a heart for serving others. Choose, prepare, and provide balanced age-appropriate materials and messages. Provide initial counseling with youth and their parents struggling with life issues. This includes understanding when to refer the family to qualified professionals. Organize youth to be leaders in VBS in the summer. Equip parents with resources to minister to their children at home. Attend Staff and Church Council meetings upon request of the pastor. And other responsibilities as the Sr. Pastor asks.
