Partnership Tax Assistant Director EY's internal Finance function is continually evolving, and our global Finance mission is to provide complete, accurate, consistent, timely and insightful financial/operational information and advice, in the most efficient, effective and sustainable means possible to help us go all in and achieve our strategic ambitions. The opportunity EY is seeking a tax professional in the internal tax department of EY . You will be responsible for state tax planning for the firm including researching state and local tax law changes and applying them to EY and related entities. You will assist in the preparation of state and local income tax returns and the federal and state K-1 compliance and planning process. You will be expected to analyze information thoroughly and accurately and prepare practical and creative approaches to tax issues, in addition to making informed decisions involving complex issues, using sound judgment. Your key responsibilities Perform annual state and local tax research in advance of compliance season as well as monitor state and local law changes throughout the year working closely with our state and local tax advisors. Apply an in-depth understanding of complex tax concepts and tax knowledge to internal and external situations affecting EY's partners Assist in developing tax planning strategies that reduce the overall tax costs to the firm Identify tax issues, and propose solutions Work with team members and manage direct staff, helping to ac
