Parts Counter Sales Associate

Overview Knowledge of small engines is preferred but now required.This is a sales position including sales of parts, zero turn mowers and hand held power equipment.Duties include looking up parts, ordering parts, receiving parts, stocking parts and parts inventory.Duties Greet customers warmly and identify their parts needs through active listening and effective communication Assist customers in selecting the right parts by leveraging diagnostic knowledge and inventory management skills Process sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handle cash and credit payments with professionalism Maintain organized inventory control by stocking shelves, updating stock levels, and conducting regular stock checks Collaborate with the service team to facilitate order fulfillment for vehicle repairs and maintenance Utilize Microsoft Excel and dealership CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to track parts orders, inventory levels, and sales data Provide excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries, scheduling pickups, or coordinating with suppliers Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to diverse customers Proficiency in retail math for accurate pricing, discounts, and inventory calculations Knowledge of automotive repair, diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance procedures Experience with inventory management systems, POS platforms, and order fulfillment processes Negotiation skills to upsell products and resolve customer concerns effectively Familiarity with dealership experience, automotive service procedures, and marketing strategies is advantageous Organizational skills to manage stock levels efficiently and maintain a clean work environment Ability to handle cashiering duties including cash handling with accuracy and integrity Basic understanding of automotive repair tools like CMMS software and retail shop operations Join us as a Parts Counter Sales Associate where your energy fuels our success!
