Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Parts Manager to oversee the parts department in our organization.The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in inventory management, procurement, and supply chain operations.This role is crucial for ensuring that our retail parts department and service department maintains optimal stock levels and efficiently manages the flow of parts to support our service operations.Duties Manage the procurement of parts and supplies necessary for operations, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.Oversee inventory control processes, including tracking stock levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing best practices for inventory management.Utilize an order management system to process orders accurately and efficiently.Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms, fostering strong relationships to enhance procurement management.Ensure the warehouse is organized and operates smoothly, including overseeing forklift operations when necessary.Train and supervise staff within the parts department, providing guidance on best practices in parts handling and customer service.Maintain accurate records of all transactions related to parts purchasing and inventory management.Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to parts orders or inventory levels.Requirements Proven experience in parts management or a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory control methods.Familiarity with auto body repair processes is a plus.Experience with procurement management and vendor relations.Proficiency in using order management systems for efficient processing of orders.Ability to operate a forklift safely; certification is preferred but not mandatory.Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and suppliers.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$38,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Health insurance Experience:Management:1 year (Required) License/Certification:Driver's License (Required) Ability to Commute:Urbana, IL 61801 (Required) Ability to Relocate:Urbana, IL 61801:Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location:In person.
