Summary We are seeking a talented Pastry Cook to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing craft pastries, including rugelach, hamantaschen, babka, cookies, macaroons, and more. Responsibilities Prepare and bake a variety of pastries and desserts according to established recipes with attention to detail. Ensure all food safety standards are met during food preparation and storage. Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient workflow during busy periods. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen. Requirements Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong baking skills with knowledge of various pastry techniques. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude. Reliable and punctual for morning shifts. Great communication skills and the ability to work efficiently with a team. Must be willing and able to handle daily tasks to keep the kitchen in working order including cleaning, equipment maintenance and restocking. This position would be an excellent second part-time job for a pastry cook with an evening position. Shifts look like 8am-3pm, 3 days a week.
