Harry s Catering & Events is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Pastry Production Assistant to support our pastry department across production, event preparation, organization, and kitchen operations. This is a hands-on support role working closely with our Pastry Chef and culinary team to help execute desserts and pastry items for catered events, private dinners, and large-scale productions. This is an on-call, variable-hour position ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and is comfortable jumping into a variety of tasks throughout the day. The right candidate is organized, reliable, team-oriented, and takes pride in consistency and cleanliness. This role is especially well suited for someone looking to gain experience in high-volume pastry production while working alongside a collaborative and creative culinary team. KEY QUALIFICATIONS Previous kitchen or pastry experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organization Positive attitude and willingness to support the team where needed Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Comfortable lifting, cleaning, and standing for extended periods of time Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety standards at all times KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the Pastry Chef with prep, assembly, garnishing, and finishing of desserts and pastry items Support packing, labeling, and staging for catered events and deliveries Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry and kitchen areas Wash dishes and assist with general kitchen cleaning responsibilities Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures Assist with production setup and breakdown as needed Support the culinary team with additional kitchen tasks during busy production periods COMPENSATION & BENEFITS $28.00 to $32.00 per hour DOE On-call, variable-hour schedule based on production and event needs Paid Sick & Safe Time in accordance with Washington State law Employee discounts across Harry s Good Times Co. properties Opportunity to grow within a rapidly expanding hospitality company Harry s is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusion and diversity.
