Our client, a top-ranked IP law firm, is seeking a Patent Agent with a strong technical background. The billable hour target is 1,650. Schedule: Fully remote anywhere in the U.S. or hybrid in New York. Salary: $120k-$175k Responsibilities: Draft patent applications and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Formulate and implement patent filing strategies. Conduct client interviews to obtain invention disclosures. Review office actions and prepare responses. Conduct interviews with Patent Office examiners. Prepare infringement and validity opinions, work on patent post-grant proceedings, assist in patent and other litigation, and support intellectual property licensing and other transactions. Manage a docket with multiple clients and deadlines. Qualifications: Have a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, civil engineering, physics, or a related technical field. Must be admitted to the USPTO. Prior experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications. Recent law firm experience.
