Patient representative I (0.8 FTE) - Radiology

Job Description: Under the leadership of the department director and the operations supervisor the radiology services patient representative will work the radiology services front desk area and serve as a liaison to maximize the patient experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, greeting patients and processing all patient paperwork efficiently, changing patients and escorting them to exam rooms as needed, answering all incoming phone calls, scheduling of same day or STAT exams in coordination with technologists, and working effectively with all member of the radiology team. Experience Knowledge of medical terminology and guest relations. Familiarity with computer keyboard and basic computer functions. Working knowledge of office equipment. Previous experience with direct patient care in a high volume medical facility or imaging center is preferred. Education High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience in related field. Licensure/Certifications American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is preferred. Position Type: Regular Pay Range (based on years of applicable experience): $29.85 to $39.95 The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.
