Summary Under general supervision, will coordinate travel for patients being referred to the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) for medical care in Anchorage or outside of Alaska. Will review the provided documentation and assist the patient, clinic and service unit with the completion of travel for beneficiary and Medicaid travel. Responsibilities REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES All Coordinates travel arrangements, to include but no limited to; air and ground transportation, lodging and meals) for patients and their escorts (if applicable) referred for medical care by ANMC to medical clinics in and outside the State of Alaska. Must be able to determine medically necessary travel while ensuring patient appointments, travel arrangements, lodging, transportation, and other logistical aspects of the patients’ medical travel are completed. Must be able to work collaboratively with other members of the team/department, as well as outside agencies, to ensure the ANMC Travel Rules and Regulations are being met while also serving as an advocate for the patient and referring provider.
