Job Overview Join the Pawn & Sell team as a Pawnbroker Associate, where you will be at the forefront of providing exceptional financial services and customer experiences. As a key player in our retail environment, you will evaluate collateral, process loans and buys, and manage customer relationships with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your energetic approach will help drive sales, promote upselling opportunities, and ensure smooth cash handling operations. Duties Assess and appraise pledged items to determine their value and loan/buy eligibility Originate loans and buys by guiding customers through the pawnbroking process, including explaining terms and conditions clearly Manage cash transactions accurately, including debits and credits, while maintaining secure cash management practices Conduct thorough loan and buy processing, including documentation, record-keeping, and compliance with company policies Engage with customers to build strong relationships, offering personalized service and upselling additional financial products or services Detect and prevent fraud by monitoring transactions for suspicious activity and adhering to security protocols Maintain detailed records of all transactions using financial software and perform basic math calculations for daily reconciliation Qualifications Proven experience in financial sales, retail math, or banking environments with a focus on customer relationship management Strong knowledge of cash handling, cashiering, debits & credits, and basic math skills Familiarity with financial services software and 10-key typing proficiency Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Ability to identify fraud prevention opportunities and uphold security standards Prior experience in loan origination or pawnshop operations is preferred High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications related to financial services or retail are a plus We are a tight-knit family at Pawn & Sell, and we are looking for a dynamic, experienced, knowledgeable & trustworthy associate to fill an extremely unique & exciting position.
