Pittsburgh, PA 15090 $70,000 – $75,000 A well-established, employee-focused organization is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join their HR team. This is a high-visibility role responsible for full-cycle payroll processing, benefits administration, and HRIS support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable managing both operational and compliance-related HR functions. Why This Opportunity Stands Out Strong, people-first culture with long-term stability Comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) match, insurance, and wellness programs High-visibility role partnering closely with HR leadership Broad scope across payroll, benefits, HRIS, and compliance—not just processing work Opportunity to lead open enrollment and benefits initiatives end-to-end Payroll & Benefits Specialist Key Responsibilities Process and audit bi-weekly payroll for approximately 300 employees, including bonuses and commissions The Payroll & Benefits Specialist will maintain HRIS data integrity and support payroll/benefits system configurations Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, deductions, and vendor coordination Support compliance reporting and filings (including ACA, 401(k), EEO-1, and unemployment) The Payroll & Benefits Specialist will generate payroll, benefits, and headcount reports for HR and leadership Serve as primary point of contact for payroll, benefits, HRIS, and leave-related inquiries The Payroll & Benefits Specialist will assist with audits and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulations Qualifications Of The Payroll & Benefits Specialist Role 3–5 years of experience in payroll, benefits, HRIS, or related HR/finance function Hands-on experience with payroll processing and HRIS systems (UKG preferred) Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail Experience with compliance reporting, audits, or regulatory filings preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
