Overview Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced, teamwork-oriented environment? Egan Company is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Champlin, MN . In this role, you'll be responsible for processing full-cycle weekly union payroll and reporting for various Egan business groups. This is a flexible, hybrid position allowing you to work a blend of in the office and at home. Responsibilities The basic responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist include but are not limited to the following: Process weekly union payroll Prepare monthly union benefit reporting Weekly certified payroll reporting Monthly utilization reporting Prevailing wage reporting and compliance Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers Conduct the payroll portion of new field leader orientations Employee setup All other duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year college degree in Accounting is preferred 2-5 years experience in a related industry (Construction or Manufacturing) is required 3-5 years experience with in-house, full cycle, multi-state payroll is required Qualifications Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, is preferred Experience working in a paperless environment Previous certified payroll experience Proficiency in the use of standard office computer programs such as Google Suite, Word, and Excel Self-starter with the ability to work independently with little direction, as well as being comfortable in a team-oriented environment Strong customer service and communication skills Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize/organize daily workload Exposure to process improvement ideas in an accounting setting is highly desired Benefits, Perks and Pay Beyond the Industry Standard Egan supports team members and their families with comprehensive benefits. Pay Range: $30.28-$35.10 per hour (subject to such factors as experience, education, and/or skill set) plus potential annual discretionary bonus.
