Responsibilities Process payroll accurately using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements Perform data entry related to employee hours, benefits, tax information, and other payroll data with meticulous attention to detail Reconcile accounts related to payroll transactions, including general ledger reconciliation and account reconciliation tasks Maintain and update HRIS systems to reflect changes in employee status, compensation, or benefits Support benefits administration by managing enrollments, deductions, and related employee inquiries Assist with tax filings and ensure adherence to governmental regulations concerning payroll taxes Collaborate with accounting teams on journal entries, accounts payable/receivable processing, and non-profit or governmental accounting procedures Experience Proven experience in payroll management within a corporate or non-profit setting using payroll software such as Workday, ADP, Ceridian, Kronos or PeopleSoft Strong understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting Familiarity with financial concepts related to payroll processing and benefits administration Demonstrated ability in data entry accuracy and attention to detail in high-volume environments Knowledge of tax regulations affecting payroll processing and reporting requirements Experience working with HRIS systems and payroll software like QuickBooks or other financial software is highly desirable Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation and troubleshooting payroll discrepancies This role is designed for motivated professionals eager to make a meaningful impact through precise payroll operations.
