University Health & Rehabilitation Center in Durham, NC is seeking a qualified candidate to join our growing team as a Personal Care Aide (PCA).We are seeking individuals to join us 3p-11p with rotating weekends.As a PCA, you are at the forefront of our ability to provide Care Beyond Compare with the exceptional care you deliver.As a member of the nursing team, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that we are delivering the highest quality of care to our residents; helping them regain and maintain their optimal level of independence through the compassionate care and support you provide.One of the most rewarding aspects of your role is knowing that you will have the opportunity to make a sincere difference in someone's life every day.What We Offer Competitive pay commensurate with experience Excellent Health Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) 401(k), Flexible Spending Account, & Other Elective Benefits Available Paid Time Off (PTO) for Full-Time Employees Career Growth Opportunities Daily Pay Available Sign on bonus What You'll Do GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assists with keeping patient/resident rooms and common areas clean and tidy.Follows work assignments and schedules.Attends and participates in in-service training as required.Assists in the orientation and training of new employees as assigned.Performs other duties as necessary for the successful operation of the healthcare center.SUPPORTIVE TASKS PCAs are not permitted to perform direct patient care, even if supervised.Answer call lights and promptly relay patient/resident requests outside of scope to CNA/Nurse.Maintain cleanliness of all work and common areas.Assist with maintaining hydration by filling water pitchers and replacing them as necessary.Deliver and set up food trays for patients/residents that feed themselves.Assist with diversional activities.Return carts to dietary department after mealtimes.Clean wheelchairs, oxygen concentrators, feeding pumps, and other equipment as necessary.Assist with ensuring that empty rooms are admission ready at all times.Assist with room changes by safely moving patient/resident belongings.Straighten closets, nightstands, and bedside tables as needed.Straighten utility and supply rooms as needed.Make beds and replace linen as needed.What You Need Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.Strong organizational and analytical skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently.If you're looking to join an outstanding team of professionals where every day you can make a sincere difference in someone's life, we're looking for you!.
