Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Des Moines Function: Factory Engineering (CA) Title: PDP Weld Manufacturing Engineer - 118885 Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position Your Responsibilities As a PDP Weld Manufacturing Engineer for John Deere Des Moines Works located in Des Moines, IA, you will: Concept and procure weld tooling, robotic weld systems, specialized racks, and material handling equipment utilizing E-Tools to determine the sequence of events, communicate issues and verify safety and ergonomic methods Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities to resolve manufacturing, safety and ergonomic issues, and quality metrics Participate in quality activities, such as: Function Geometry Reviews (FGRs), Design Process Assembly Reviews (DPARs), and Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEAs) activities Innovate to implement product performance improvements and cost reductions for welding operations Develop and implement lean cell layouts to improve material flow and material presentation in areas of responsibility Support Appropriation for Expenditure (AFE) labor and capital estimates by developing accurate, timely, labor es
