A position is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide services in a school setting located in New Kent, VA. This contract role focuses on delivering exceptional speech and language support to pediatric students, emphasizing communication development and therapy interventions. Key Qualifications: Valid Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology or eligible Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion for SLPs. Experience working in school settings preferred; healthcare settings experience is beneficial. Proficiency in pediatric speech-language therapy, including teletherapy methods. SLPA candidates must hold appropriate certifications and experience in school or healthcare environments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and educational teams. Responsibilities Include: Conducting speech and language evaluations to identify communication disorders. Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs. Providing direct speech therapy sessions in both in-person and teletherapy formats. Collaborating with educators, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to support student progress. Documenting therapy outcomes and maintaining compliance with school and healthcare regulations.
