Peer Recovery Coach - Closes 5/22/2026

Closing Date Position closes at 5:00 pm Mountain Standard Time on 5/22/2026. Position Summary The Peer Recovery Coach will engage individuals with substance use disorders with a goal of referral into treatment and recovery services. The goal is to connect people in need of treatment to services within their communities and across the state. This position is a grade N8; pay is $19.89/hour. Education And Experience Must have a High School diploma or Equivalent. Must have general knowledge of available resources and organizations affiliated with behavioral health services. Must be in recovery from alcohol or other substance use for a minimum of 2 years. Must have the ability to set and hold professional and personal boundaries. Must pass a thorough criminal history background check and pre-employment drug test. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with Native American Indian Tribes. A valid driver’s license for state of residency and be insurable under the Tribal Vehicle Insurance Policy. Specific cultural and spiritual knowledge of Native American systems of belief related to substance use and illness. Experience in mental health and substance use prevention programs. Experience working with community members. Training and credentialing as a Peer Recovery Coach. Ability to adapt in ambiguous work environment or with competing priorities.
