Job Summary We are seeking a bilingual, dedicated and compassionate Per-Diem Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide flexible, high-quality mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will support individuals facing various mental health challenges, such as depression, anxiety, and many others. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through direct patient care, clinical assessments, and therapeutic interventions in both office and telehealth settings. You will work alongside a great team of mental health professionals in a friendly and inviting environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake evaluations and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems. Provide individual or family therapy utilizing evidence-based practices such as psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or other treatment models. Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage urgent mental health situations effectively while ensuring safety for clients and staff. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster engagement and promote positive behavioral change. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including detailed progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records using ICD coding where applicable. Provide telehealth services when required, ensuring seamless access to care regardless of location or circumstances. Requirements Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a related mental health field from an accredited institution OR Valid licensure or certification as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) At least one year of clinical experience or internship experience Strong knowledge of mental health models including psychotherapy, CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnosis documentation Proficiency in medical terminology and medical records management while adhering to HIPAA standards for patient privacy. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients effectively through direct support and telehealth platforms. Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently while maintaining a compassionate approach.
