Job Description
An opportunity is available for a certified and Ohio-licensed pharmacy technician to provide per diem support at a healthcare facility in London, OH. The role requires a motivated technician with experience in compounding both hazardous and non-hazardous medications, prepared to contribute to an efficient and safe pharmacy operation. Key Responsibilities Compound hazardous and non-hazardous medications according to safety protocols. Refill and manage inventory using the Pyxis automated system. Support pharmacists in daily pharmacy activities to ensure smooth workflow. Utilize the EPIC order entry system; prior experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Certification as a Pharmacy Technician with an active Ohio license. Proficient in compounding techniques for hazardous and non-hazardous agents. Experience with Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems required. Familiarity with EPIC order entry system is a plus. Ability to cover shifts Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Flexible availability for 1-2 weekends per month is preferred. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Possible weekend coverage 1-2 times per month Location: London, OH (local candidates preferred; travel expenses may be considered for qualified candidates from outside the area) This role offers a chance to work with a dedicated pharmacy team comprised of approximately four pharmacists and three technicians, serving an average daily census of 15 patients. The assignment lasts 8-12 weeks with an immediate start date.
