Make a Difference in the Lives of Individuals with Brain Injuries! Residential Counselor – ABI Program BHcare is seeking compassionate Residential Counselors to join our Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Residential Program. This program provides a community-based living environment for individuals with acquired or traumatic brain injuries, helping residents build independence, access critical supports, and develop meaningful relationships in their community. This position is Per Diem and there are various shifts are available Key Responsibilities: Support daily program operations while ensuring a safe, positive living environment. Assist residents in implementing individualized recovery plans and review progress regularly. Provide support in daily living skills such as personal care, cooking, cleaning, and money management. Facilitate rehabilitation interventions and group activities. Advocate for clients and connect them to medical, vocational, and community resources. Monitor and support medication protocols. Document services, progress notes, and updates accurately and in a timely manner. Provide crisis intervention and communicate with emergency providers when needed. Remain alert and ensure resident safety at all times, including overnight shifts. Participate in training and professional development opportunities. Why Join BHcare? Qualifications Two years of college education (human services or behavioral science preferred) or High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2-4 years direct care direct care work experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft 365. Must be able to navigate through electronic health records system (EHR). Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must maintain an acceptable driving record and be insurable at a reasonable rate under the Organization’s auto insurance plan. LICENSURE /CERTIFICATIONS: Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/AED/First Aid training
