Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team at Midwest Health Solutions as a Per Diem Travel Nurse, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in long term care facilities.This flexible role offers the opportunity to work in long term care facilities providing vital patient care while enjoying the freedom of scheduling that fits your lifestyle.Bring your passion for nursing and your wide-ranging skill set to support patients in need.Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in long-term care facilities.Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to inform treatment plans.Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols; including antibiotic managment and aseptic techniques.Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, wound care, and tube feedings.Document patient information thoroughly using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Matrix or Point Click Care, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on care planning.Support infection control practices and maintain sterile processing standards in all clinical activities.Hours for this position are 5pm-1030pm and/or 6pm-630am and/or 6am-630pm.Requirements Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of South Dakota.At least 1 year or more of nursing home (LTC) nursing experience.Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and demonstrate excellent patient assessment skills.Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.Embark on a rewarding journey where your nursing skills are valued and your flexibility is supported!
