Job Description
Position Summary The Personal Banker plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional member service. This position requires a professional and personable individual who possesses strong communication skills and a commitment to providing financial solutions that meet our members’ needs and create value in their lives. Duties & Responsibilities Actively support and promote Texas Tech CU’s core values of trust, respect, excellence, kindness, and stewardship Serve members and employees pleasantly and professionally. Greet and welcome members as they enter the lobby, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere. Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all members, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely manner. Assist members with online and mobile banking, and other services including wires, ACH, debit and credit cards, and basic account inquiries. Educate members on our various financial products and services, including checking and savings accounts, loans, credit cards, and investment options. Assist in opening new accounts and guiding members through account maintenance procedures. Work to achieve individual and branch loan referral goals and assist members in completing loan applications. Resolve member complaints and issues effectively, escalating complex problems to the appropriate personnel when necessary. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance member satisfaction. Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and Texas Tech CU’s policies to ensure compliance and safeguard members’ confidential information. Follow security protocols and procedures to minimize risk and fraudulent activities. Collaborate with fellow team members, including Virtual Tellers, Consumer Loan Officers, and management, to ensure a seamless member experience. Communicate effectively and contribute to a positive work environment. Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or related fields is a plus. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Two years of experience in a financial institution or similar environment preferred. Must possess a service-oriented attitude and strong member service skills. Ability to maintain effective communication consistently and effectively. Possess excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to upholding ethical standards, confidentiality, and compliance with regulations Ability to stand for extended periods of time and occasionally lift moderate-weight items.
