Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities and personal care. In this vital role, you will promote independence, ensure safety, and enhance the quality of life for residents or clients across various settings such as assisted living facilities, home health environments, or community-based programs. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a warm, respectful, and supportive environment for those you serve. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition; report changes promptly Provide medication reminders and support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to ensure safe transfers and mobility Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s by implementing memory care techniques and engaging activities Document patient progress accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations; update care plans regularly Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care Participate in training sessions on CPR, first aid, hospice care, autism support, or other relevant certifications to enhance caregiving skills Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and HIPAA regulations Certification in CPR and first aid required; additional certifications such as hospice care or dementia training are advantageous Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper techniques; physical stamina for long shifts required Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia strongly preferred Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and team members Compassionate attitude with a strong commitment to providing respectful and dignified care Join our team to make a meaningful difference in people's lives!
