Overview Join our compassionate team at Glory to Glory Homecare Services as a Personal Care Assistant, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal well-being. In this vital role, you'll provide personalized assistance, promote independence, and ensure safety in various settings such as assisted living facilities, group homes, or clients' private residences. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support medication administration and help manage care plans tailored to individual needs Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to promote healthy eating habits Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other transfer devices to ensure safe patient mobility and prevent injury Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and adherence to infection control protocols Provide emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of isolation, especially for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Experience Prior experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs Hands-on experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory care needs Familiarity with care plans, medication administration procedures, and HIPAA compliance standards Experience using patient lifting equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other transfer aids is preferred Background in providing specialized dementia or hospice care is a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team dedicated to compassionate caregiving Join us if you're eager to bring your skills in patient care, caregiving, and social work into a role that truly makes a difference.
