Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing support with daily activities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, assist with essential tasks, and promote independence while ensuring safety and comfort. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a positive environment where clients feel valued, respected, and cared for. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in patient care, home & community care, and long-term support services. Duties Must speak Spanish Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity Monitor patients’ health by checking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings promptly Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare standards Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia and memory care Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for patient transfers and mobility assistance Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams, patients, families, and social workers Demonstrated understanding of medication reminder protocols and patient monitoring procedures Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and personalized care Join us in delivering exceptional support that enhances quality of life!
