Pet Bather and Grooming Assistant

In this lively role, you will also assist experienced groomers in providing top-quality grooming services, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for pets and their owners alike. Responsibilities Perform on your own clients and Assist groomers with bathing, drying, brushing, and trimming pets to meet grooming standards Safely handle dogs and other small animals during grooming procedures using proper restraint techniques Support the grooming team by preparing grooming stations and maintaining cleanliness of work areas Ensure pets are comfortable and calm throughout the grooming process by applying pet care best practices Help with pet sitting duties when necessary, including feeding, walking, and monitoring animals’ health and behavior Maintain detailed records of each pet’s grooming history and special needs through Daysmart Pet software. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming services and pet care tips Skills Strong hand Scissor skills. Must be able to do face, feet and Sani, and Profile/Outline Trims, and demonstrate how to hand dry double coated breeds completely . Pay DOE, BUT would be willing to train a highly motivated person that paysattention to detail . Strong animal handling skills with experience in dog training, veterinary care, or animal restraint techniques Knowledge of pet grooming procedures and pet care best practices Ability to lift heavy objects safely while performing heavy lifting tasks involved in bathing or moving animals Experience working with veterinary professionals or in veterinary technician/assistant roles is a plus Familiarity with dog handling, animal care, kennel experience, and equine experience is advantageous Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This role is perfect for passionate animal lovers eager to grow their expertise in pet grooming and animal care.
