Kennel Staff/Receptionist Job description: About Us K9 Dorms is a faith-based, family-owned pet care facility serving the Altoona/Eau Claire community. Position Overview Our kennel staff position plays a key leadership role in our ministry-minded workplace by supporting our team, caring for animals with gentleness and respect, and helping us maintain a warm, faith-centered environment. This is a hands-on role involving kennel day-to-day operations, reception support, customer service, and light social media and marketing. We’re seeking someone who shares our heart for animals, families, and faith-driven service. Key Responsibilities · Display humility, kindness, and integrity while working with animals and clients · Daily Animal Care · Feeding, exercise, enrichment, and daily pet care · Monitor health and behavior; communicate concerns · Administer medications as directed · Maintain a clean, safe, peaceful environment · Maintains daily record keeping, including data entry · Front Desk support, assist with scheduling for our all our services (call, text, email, in-person) · Assist with cleaning/sanitizing, laundry, outdoor cleaning and deep facility cleaning ·Cleaning yards and keeping grounds clean · Organization and cleanliness throughout the facilities · Greet families warmly and kindly · Handle check-ins, check-outs, and scheduling · Communicate clearly & professionally in person, by phone, text, and email · Take photos/videos (with permission) for social pages Qualifications · Experience in home animal care, kennel, daycare, grooming, or veterinary setting · Must be available mornings, afternoons, weekends, and/or holidays · Able to lift 30+ lbs. and stay active on your feet · Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments · A heart for serving others and aligning work with our Christian values Preferred (not required) Skills · Experience with pet care software · Animal first aid knowledge · Canva or simple design skills What We Offer · Approx. 20-25 hours per week Mon-Sun (must be available weekends and holidays) · $12–$13 per hour based on experience · A supportive, faith-based, family environment · Opportunity to grow your role and responsibilities · Staff discounts on services · The joy of caring for God’s animals every day How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief note about your experience and availability.
