We are filling a part-time position that includes pet and farm care visits in:Haiku-Makawao-Pukalani-Kula.You must have a reliable vehicle and willingness to commute to pet care visits.In addition we need help Tuedays at our new enrichment based doggie daycare is located on the slopes of Haleakala.This position requires a passion for dogs and dog training, exellent communication skills with our team and the pet owners, ability to work independently and a positive can do attitude! Requirements:Please only apply if you live upcountry.A completed Dog and Cat First Aid course through the American Red Cross A fear free Dog boarding and Daycare certification Completed pet sitter certification:CPS-DW Must have availability Mon-Fri midday dog walks We will reimnburse you for all the the completed certifications after 6-months with the company.Benefits:Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid training Referral program Work Location:In home vet visits and at our doggie daycare.Duties Walk dogs of all sizes and temperaments, ensuring safety and exercise needs are met with enthusiasm Provide attentive pet sitting services including feeding, administering medication if needed, and companionship Supervise and engage pets during daycare hours with playtime, socialization, and enrichment activities Monitor pet behavior closely to identify signs of stress or discomfort; implement proper animal restraint techniques when necessary Maintain a clean and organized environment in the daycare area; assist with pet grooming as needed Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' activities, behaviors, and any concerns that arise Assist veterinary staff or technicians with animal handling tasks when required; support veterinary or kennel procedures as needed Skills Strong animal handling skills with experience in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel care Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician/assistant experience is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to transport or lift animals safely Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their questions confidently Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and pet grooming practices Experience working with animals in diverse settings such as kennels or equine environments is advantageous Passion for animal care combined with a lively attitude to keep pets engaged and happy This role is perfect for energetic individuals who love working with animals and want to make a difference in their lives.We value dedication, compassion, and a proactive approach to pet care--join us today to turn your love for animals into a rewarding career!
