Job Summary and Qualifications Responsible for compounding and dispensing medications and pharmaceutical supplies upon receiving written orders from the physician and according to standard policies and procedures. Reviews and interprets physician orders. Fills medication orders appropriately, I.e. drugs are available for a timely delivery, ensuring that the proper information is on each prescription label. Organizes daily operational duties in the dispensing functions. Dispenses additives for IV, irrigating solutions and chemotherapy. Provides care appropriate to the age of the patient served. Insure inventory and records of narcotics and other forms of drugs are maintained as required by law. Responsible for keeping records of drugs dispensed and returned and for maintenance records of IV laminar flow hoods, refrigerators and other equipment used in the pharmacy Assist with the revision of policies and procedures for the department 8. Insures drug storage area(s) are inspected monthly and insures all outdated medications are removed from patient care areas. 9. Direct supervision of technicians What qualifications you will need: Licensed or licensed eligible in the state of Georgia as a pharmacist. Masters Degree Minimum of 1-3 year's experience in hospital " pharmacy preferred.
