Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for an Interim Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support a healthcare facility in Norwalk, CA. The initial assignment is full-time for approximately one month, transitioning to a part-time, PRN schedule thereafter. This role is ideal for a local candidate experienced in inpatient pharmacy operations and seeking flexible hours. Responsibilities Perform IV compounding with strict adherence to safety protocols Accurately fill and manage Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems Support daily pharmacy operations within a licensed 117-bed facility averaging 44 inpatients Rotate shifts with other technicians covering hours between 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM, and weekend shifts from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Utilize Paragon/Allscripts order entry system efficiently to process medication orders Desired Experience And Qualifications Valid California pharmacy technician license required Proven experience with IV compounding and managing Pyxis systems Comfortable working in a dynamic inpatient environment requiring accuracy and attention to detail Familiarity with Paragon or Allscripts order entry software is preferred Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends Location: Norwalk, California – ideally for candidates residing locally for ease of scheduling and availability. This contract opportunity offers structured hours initially with potential for ongoing PRN work after the first month.
