Pharmacist - Van Nuys, CA

A hospital-based pharmacist position is available with a large county health system serving multiple ambulatory care clinics and hospitals. This role suits candidates who have recently completed a PGY1 residency or pharmacists with some hospital experience, including internship background. While preference is given to new PGY1 graduates, non-PGY1 pharmacists with inpatient experience will be considered. Work Schedule Primarily 8-hour shifts covering first and second shifts Occasional third shift coverage may be required Flexibility to work all shifts is essential Key Responsibilities: Dispense medications in accordance with hospital protocols Provide clinical pharmacy services to support inpatient care Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards Qualifications: Licensed pharmacist with expertise in inpatient pharmacy practice Completion of PGY1 residency preferred or approximately two years of hospital pharmacy experience Ability to pass a competency exam on the first attempt (one-time testing) Successful completion of a background Livescan prior to start date Willingness to work within a unionized workforce and adhere to department policies Location: Van Nuys, CA area (County health system hospital site) This opportunity is offered as a long-term contract position with an agency, designed for those interested in a permanent county position.
