Must Haves:High school diploma or equivalent required Prior experience in pharmacy purchasing, inventory management, or healthcare supply chain 2years of experience in an inpatient pharmacy setting Registered Pharmacy technician in the State of South Carolina Plusses:Omnicell experience EPIC experience Day-to-Day:The Inpatient Pharmacy Buyer is responsible for purchasing, receiving, and maintaining pharmaceutical and supply inventory across hospital pharmacies and drug repositories.This role partners closely with pharmacists and pharmacy leadership to ensure accurate inventory management, cost control, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted medication availability to support patient care.Key Responsibilities Oversee the purchasing of medications, supplies, and pharmaceuticals for inpatient pharmacies and affiliated drug repositories Maintain appropriate inventory levels by conducting regular inventory counts, monitoring usage trends, and establishing par levels Coordinate with pharmacists to ensure proper accounting, storage, and rotation of inventory to minimize waste and shortages Identify cost-saving opportunities by sourcing products at the best possible pricing while maintaining quality and continuity of care Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and purchasing systems to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment Track medication backorders, substitutions, and recalls and communicate proactively with pharmacy staff Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and internal controls related to purchasing and inventory management Support audits, reporting, and inventory reconciliation efforts as needed Pay:$20.00 - $26.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
