Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and obtain prior authorization. Duties Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures on patients of all ages. Ensure proper identification of patients and labeling of specimens. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols. Prepare blood samples for laboratory analysis and transport. Communicate effectively with patients, providing information about the procedure and addressing any concerns. Document all procedures accurately in patient records. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Participate in training programs to enhance phlebotomy skills and knowledge. Obtain prior authorization from insurance for patient. Experience Minimum 2 years work experience Certification in phlebotomy or Medical Assistant. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
