About The Role The NWTF is seeking a dedicated and experienced Conservation Program Coordinator to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the organization’s mission by coordinating habitat restoration projects, managing partnerships, and facilitating community outreach initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in wildlife conservation, project management, and stakeholder engagement. The Conservation Program Coordinator will work closely with field staff, volunteers, and external partners to ensure the successful implementation of conservation programs that benefit wild turkey populations and their habitats. Additionally, this role involves developing educational materials, organizing community events, and contributing to grant writing efforts to secure funding for ongoing and future projects. Qualifications Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in GIS, data analysis, and project management software is a plus. The candidate must demonstrate a passion for conservation, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to work independently in outdoor settings and office environments. Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee habitat restoration projects, ensuring they meet conservation goals and regulatory requirements. Engage with landowners, government agencies, and community organizations to develop and maintain partnerships that support NWTF’s conservation initiatives. Organize and facilitate community outreach programs, educational workshops, and volunteer activities to promote wildlife conservation and outdoor traditions. Assist in the development of grant proposals and manage project budgets to secure funding for ongoing and new initiatives. Collect and analyze data related to habitat conditions, wildlife populations, and project outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness. Prepare reports, presentations, and educational materials to communicate project progress and results to stakeholders and the public. Support the organization’s advocacy efforts by staying informed about relevant policies and legislation impacting wildlife conservation. Participate in fieldwork, including habitat assessments, invasive species removal, and wildlife monitoring as needed.
